Women Hockey India Team Announced For Asia Cup 2017.
Hockey India has selected the squad for the upcoming Asia Cup Hockey which begins from 28 October in Japan. Ace striker Rani Rampal will be leading the Indian campaign in Japan. Newly appointed head coach for women, Harendra Singh will be keen about his first big assignment.
Big job for the new coach
Former Indian player Harendra Singh was newly appointed as the Head Coach for the Indian Women Hockey. The Asia Cup will be his first big assignment as the tournament has a good significance. The tournament at Japan is going to be one of the qualification factors for the upcoming Women’s World Cup. And so, the 2017 Asia Cup is going to be a big assignment for Harendra Singh.

The Hockey India has framed the team with match winners. Every individual in the side can win a match single-handedly. And moreover, India will be facing tough competition in the group stage. So, we have to wait for the players to deliver at the moment for India. India has been placed with China, Malaysia, and Singapore in Group A.
